“Take It Easy” is a song written by Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey! It was most famously recorded by the Eagles (with Frey singing lead vocals). The Eagles also recorded and released a classic cover with country musician Travis Tritt.
“Take It Easy” was The Eagles' first single, released on May 1, 1972. It peaked at #12 on the July 22, 1972 Billboard Hot 100 chart, spending 11 weeks on the chart that summer, after debuting at #79 on June 3. It also was the opening track on the band’s debut album Eagles and it has become one of their signature songs, included on all of their live and compilation albums. It is one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. Jackson Browne later recorded the song as the lead track on his second album, For Everyman (1973), and released it as a single as well, although it did not chart.

hell no don’t change nothing in the wording of the song it just isn’t right in doing so
I remember Don and Glen from the Troubadour where I was a bouncer. I saved Glen’s ass more than once. Riding with the angels my friend.
The one thing that was really good about the Eagles , they never altered the song and the lyrics they played it exactly how it was on the record. You don’t find that with a lot of musicians.
I saved Glenn Frey’s ass a few times at the troubadour bar. I was a bouncer there and these guys were really young as I was. Glen my friend I hope you’re in music having you deserve it God rest you my friend.
